Mask Exemption Cards

We at RiseUpNH believe everyone has a right to wear — or not wear — a mask. Others around the country believe the same. Here are some tools that you may choose to use. We are not here to provide legal advice and we cannot predict how any business establishment or other public or private entity may respond. We have heard that some stores will honor the card, while others will not.

This design is from the Freedom to Breathe Agency (FTBA) website. (Find more information at their website.)

The purpose is to wear this into stores that are requiring masks.

The 4-card file above is designed to be printed on card stock and laminated. The Staples store can do this for you (total cost for 4 laminated cards was less than $10). You can then use a paper cutter (recommended) to separate the cards, and use a hole punch tool on the upper left and right corners to attach a lanyard for hanging around your neck.

Peggy Hall at the Healthy American offers a religious exemption card, which you can order from her website.
